Wolfgang Van Halen Defends Mural Of His Father Says It Is An “Incredible Honor”

The official unveiling of Robert Vargas’ mural of Eddie Van Halen was on January 26th. Since the reveal several fans have said how much they loved the piece. Then there’s the select few out there who weren’t fans of the piece.

Wolfgang Van Halen defended the mural in a series of tweets. Wolfgang first tweeted a screenshot from an earlier tweet saying “I loved Eddie but that doesn’t look like him at all.” Wolfgang replied with “Homie better get some glasses, because he can’t see shit.”

Wolfgang later followed up with a tweet saying, “The mural is incredible. Literally flawless. I can understand “not liking a particular piece of art” for whatever reason, but saying it doesn’t look like him makes you look BIG dumb. It’s not even a matter of taste, it’s just straight up wrong.”

Regarding the piece Wolfgang posted the picture the mural is based on alongside the mural and honestly it’s uncanny! He then gave his heartfelt thoughts on the piece.
