Slash talked with Sweetwater during ‘Gearfest 2020’, and they asked how he’s been keeping busy during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Slash said: “I’ve been back and forth between my studio in the house and doing a lot of writing and recording on my own.
“I’ve been jamming with Duff McKagan and I’ve been jamming with Axl Rose, and I’ve been doing stuff like that, so we’ve been getting some work done that way.
“But I haven’t been doing much else. I haven’t been doing any collaborations. I’m basically just focusing on writing new music and recording demos and recording guitar stuff for Guns N’ Roses and whatnot.”
Slash continued: “It’s a crazy, crazy time – definitely one for the books. But it’s been a good creative time, so that’s another one of the blessings – just sitting down and being patient and writing and not feeling rushed about it and not doing it so much on the fly, which I normally do.
“So it’s been a good creative period and something good will come out of it.”
