Yesterday actress Evan Rachel Wood and three other women who had previously dated Marilyn Manson, came forward with their stories of physical and emotional abuse.
Last night Manson took to Instagram to release his own statement about these allegations saying, “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
After these allegations surfaced, Manson’s U.S. label Loma Vista Recordings, cut all ties with the artist. Manson had released three albums with them since 2015.
Manson was also supposed to have a cameo spot on the new season of Starz hit show “American Gods”. Starz has now released their own statement, saying that Manson’s cameo will be cut from the show.
“Starz stands unequivocally with all victims and survivors of abuse.
“Due to the allegations made against Marilyn Manson, we have decided to remove his performance from the remaining episode he is in, scheduled to air later this season.”
