Earlier this week Linkin Park unveiled their new throwback website and teased everyone with a “secret project”. The band has now announced that they will be releasing a 20th Anniversary Edition of their debut album “Hybrid Theory”, as well as stream a previously unreleased song titled “She Couldn’t”.
The band stated on their website, “IT’S INCREDIBLE TO THINK IT’S BEEN 20 YEARS SINCE HYBRID THEORY WAS RELEASED. ALL GRATITUDE TO OUR FANS WHO MADE THIS EPIC JOURNEY WE STARTED 20 YEARS AGO POSSIBLE. WE DEDICATE OUR MUSIC TO YOU. WE REDEDICATE OUR HYBRID THEORY TO YOU.”
The album is due to be released on October 9th, via Warner Records and you can pre-order yours now at linkinpark.com. The limited edition super deluxe box set is definitely a must buy for hardcore fans. It will consist of 5 CD’s, 3 DVD’s, 3 vinyl records, an 80 page illustrated book, which will feature unseen photos, a replica tour laminate and a poster of Chester Bennington. Oh and 3 lithographs of new art by Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn and Hybrid Theory’s art director Frank Maddocks. The price for this deluxe set is $199.98.
There are other packages available, where you can just buy the vinyl records, or just buy the deluxe CD, or if you don’t want any physical copies, you can always buy the digital downloads.
