Linkin Park Is Teasing New ‘Secret Project’ For Hybrid Theory’s 20th Anniversary

Last week Mike Shinoda had teased fans that something cool would be happening to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Hybrid Theory”. Today, the band is continuing to tease fans with a redesign of their website linkinpark.com to look like their old desktop from 2000.

This new redesign is pretty cool and definitely brings back some Windows 98 memories. Once you enter their “desktop”, you can click on all the different icons, (and even move them around on the desktop) which will allow you to dive deeper into the site.

If you click on the “Mailnet Client” icon, you will get to read some “e-mails” from the band members that further give some insight to what may come. The original message from Mike has the subject of “Secret Project” and says, “Hey guys. I’m starting to go through old gear to see what I can dig up for the secret project we spoke about. Hoping I can find some good stuff in there. Still working on getting the old band computer figured out also. I’m copying the email on that computer so whoever is in there helping can stay up to date. More soon. -m”

So if you have any old merch or pictures of the band from their Hybrid Theory days, be sure to keep your eyes out for updates with how you can help the band celebrate!
