‘Hit Parader’ Comes Back As A Film, TV And Events Planning Company

Hit Parader was the go to rock and metal magazine in the 1980’s thru 2008, when it finally closed it’s doors. But it’s now rising from the dead, thanks to Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen, Josh Bernstein and long time MTV “120 Minutes” host Matt Pinfield.

However, it is not coming back in magazine form. Instead their focus is going to be film, TV, and live music events.

Variety has reported that they already have some things in the works. Like bringing back “Mayhem Festival”, “The Golden Gods” awards and “The Rock n’ Roll Roast”. They also have a handful of original tv series in the works, like “Paradise City”, a spin off of the 2017 film “American Satan”, featuring Bella Thorne, members of Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria.

There will also be some upcoming competition shows like “No Cover” and “Roadie Rage”.

Though it may no longer be the magazine that I got so much of my metal news from in my youth, I am excited to see “Hit Parader” being reborn.
