Five Finger Death Punch Guitarist Jason Hook Confirms Exit From Band

Longtime Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook acknowledged his exit from the band after weeks of rumors. Hook shared a video alluding to the departure and thanking fans for their support while away on his honeymoon.

Over the last few months, members of the band have shared pictures of band-related activities that did not feature Hook. Jason Hook, nor the members of Five Finger Death Punch, have acknowledged his departure until today.

This announcement was likely expedited after FFDP was featured in the Spotify ‘Kickass Metal’ playlist using a promo picture that featured a new guitarist.

That guitarist featured in that picture is none other than Andy James, a popular YouTuber and guitarist who has previously toured with the band. James hasn’t confirmed his status in the band yet but did share a video of a guitar solo he recorded for the band’s new song ‘Broken World’.

Jason Hook says an official statement agreed upon by both parties will come in the near future as it appears some sort of settlement is being worked out. Hook also notes that he has new projects currently being worked on.

We have reached out to Five Finger Death Punch for confirmation. We will let you know when we hear back.
