Dimebag And Vinnie Paul’s Graves Had A Protective Fence Built Around Them

A couple of YouTubers, Geeks, Graves and Good Stuff and Elwood The Cemetery Enthusiast, have posted some recent videos showing that a new protective fence was built to presumably help protect the Abbott brothers and their mom’s tombstones from vandalism.

The family is buried at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas. Over the years Dimebag’s tombstone has been desecrated with people scratching their names in his tombstone. In 2010 when it was reported that his grave had been vandalized, Vinnie Paul spoke with Artisan News and was asked if those responsible had ever been caught. “Nah, nah,” Vinnie replied. “But it’s just a real disrespectful thing. I don’t understand why somebody would wanna scratch their name in somebody’s tombstone or anything. But fans are rabid, man. They do unheard of things. I just wish they would respect him and let him rest in peace and just leave it at that.”

When Vinnie Paul’s gravestone was officially installed in May 2019, Pantera’s social media posted a picture of the site and message that said: “We ask that you please be respectful when visiting the brothers’ graves.” Unfortunately that wasn’t the case and so a new fence has been erected to help protect the gravestones.

If you do happen to visit, please be respectful while there.
