Slipknot and Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor is known to be a very generous fella, but a bunch of dudes in New Jersey are probably getting new pairs of pants right now after Taylor offered to join their Slipknot cover band.
Apparently, this Slipknot tribute band is serious business as they put up a Craiglist ad that is hilariously titled ‘Established Slipknot tribute seeking accurate, dedicated Corey Taylor’. Well, they found one because there just so happens to be a Corey Taylor around who already performs in a band called Slipknot. It really doesn’t get more accurate than that.
Among the very serious demands, the band wants the singer to be Corey’s same height and weight. They wrote: “We are in need of someone in the same or near same physical shape as Corey Taylor, 5’8. That has the same vocal range, stage experience is a must! Be able to command a crowd and act the part.”
Of course, if you get the gig, you will be expected to get your own jumpsuit. No freebies in this band, pal! The group also says they will supply the mask, but something tells us that Corey already has his own.
As mentioned above, Corey answered the call. He also pointed out that he weighs a health 166 pounds, given that the band seems to be very focused on his height and weight.
We’ll have to wait and see if this Slipknot tribute band decides to hire him. Something tells us Corey Taylor’s fee isn’t very cheap these days!
