Bad Wolves have confirmed a rumored split with the band’s frontman Tommy Vext. Rumors began circulating after Vext went live on his Instagram and stated he would be releasing solo music, before eventually deleting the video.
Since then, the band has released a joint statement with Vext, acknowledging the departure.
The statement reads: “It is true that BAD WOLVES and vocalist Tommy Vext have parted ways. The four of us plan to continue making music and a new album is planned for later this year.
“Tommy has been a big part of BAD WOLVES and we are grateful for his contributions.
“There is not much else to report at the moment but to send love and gratitude to the fans who have supported BAD WOLVES from day one. We would not be here without you.
“All the best, Chris, Doc, Kyle, and John”.
Bad Wolves has been seen as one of the fastest rising active rock bands of the modern era and Tommy Vext was a major part of their success. Thus far, the band hasn’t revealed any plans for a replacement and it will be interesting to see who they enlist for the band which has so much potential.
Earlier this week, Vext was asked about his opinion on the differences in political beliefs among the band members. He stated that he was the co-owner of the band and that the rest of the members were employees, adding that he did not take issue with their differences of opinion because he was a “fair employer”.
On his since-deleted Instagram live, Tommy Vext stated he would be launching a solo project. Thus far we haven’t heard additional details about the project but we will let you know if we hear more.
